World Autism Awareness Day

Respect the Autism Spectrum: April 2nd, World Autism Awareness Day

April 2nd, World Autism Awareness Day. On this day, we want to reinforce the
importance of celebrating diversity, social inclusion and respect for all
individuals and their families.
Check out the video of our Kindergarten and Elementary School teachers,
telling all about the functional routine of our autistic students and the
important necessity to maintain the relationship between family and school in
the student’s adaptation process.
Through educational approaches and assistive methodologies, we are always
helping them work on their feelings and acquire a behavioral repertoire that
helps them socialize and gain independence.

Here, not only students are assisted, but also their families are guided and
accompanied by the Integral Assistance Center. At Mater Christi, we seek the
quality of life for our students. We are aware to the individual needs of each
student and family who live with autism.
This way, we can understand a little about how the school routine of our
autistic students is developed.
